What would lead someone to wake up early on New Year’s Day just to jump into 50º water is beyond me. I guess if you start the year off by tricking your body into thinking you’re about to freeze to death, then anything that comes afterwards must be that much easier to handle?
Whatever it is, they deserve all the admiration and warm drinks this city has to offer. Also shoutout to Jami Cantrell for getting these up-close and personal photos from the water.
