HARD COPY 28 (Special Edition)

$40.00

Important note: Hard Copy 28 is marked as “Out of stock” because it’s only available through a subscription. See below for details.

Hard Copy 28 is a special edition; a retrospective of sorts. Each of us on the GCM team (Randall Owens, Sierra Hartman, Nina Hartman, and Heather Swanson) chose two stories from past issues that were meaningful or important. The eight stories were republished along with commentary from each of us, an in-depth bio written by a different team member, and other behind-the-scenes info.

This issue only went out to subscribers and will not be available in stores or individual purchase. We only printed a limited number so if you want one, you need to sign up for a subscription. If you want one after April 2026, you’ll need to request a Hard Copy 28 as your first issue by contacting editor@gritcitymag.com

This hefty beast came in at 55 pages and actually broke the binding machine halfway through production. We got it fixed but we won’t be making any more this thick in the future. Half the magazines were printed with an Abbey Road cover and the other half had a Death Row Records cover, both shot by Melissa Shaw.
