Mothership Studios Workshop: Drum with Sean Lane

**LIMITED CAPACITY WORKSHOP
Whether you are a young drummer looking to understand the ins and outs of studio session drumming or a seasoned veteran wanting to learn a few new tricks, the amazing Sean Lane will be spending some time with us in the Mothership Studios, sharing some of his valuable techniques and processes.
In the workshop, Sean will cover:
-Basic tuning for different sounds and styles
-Seating drum heads
-Drum muffling ideas
-Basic sounds from different eras and types of drum shells
Sean will also give his tips as a session tech and drummer, such as playing cymbals lighter than drums, the recording process, frequency spectrum, and much more.
Sean Lane has been playing drums for over 20 years, drum teching and session drumming for over 10 years, worked in drum shops since 2002, and drum teched over 75 records. He has worked in Studio X, Hall of Justice, London BRidge, Studio Litho, Bob Lang’s, Bear Creek, and has played in bands like Pedro The Lion, Perfume Genius, Noah Gundersen, Silver Torches, and Pickwick.
Notable bands he has drum teched for in studio are The Walkmen and Brandi Carlile, and he has drum teched and/or recorded with the following producers:
