Join us during the month of May for a series of events celebrating history, culture and diversity in the LGBTQ Asian, Pacific Islander & Desi American community! All of the events in this series are FREE to attend.Connect & Create Wednesday, May 8th // 2:30- 5:30pm Connect with other members of the community and participate in wellness activities with the RC’s advocacy department and Asia Pacific Cultural Center.APIDA Dinner Wednesday, May 15 // 5:30- 7pm We invite the APIDA community to join us for a dinner and social time. Allies who don’t identify as a member of the APIDA community, thanks for understanding the need for this APIDA-centered space.APIDA Queer Film Shorts Wednesday, May 22 // 5:30- 7pm Join us for a series of short films created by Larry Tung, an award-winning documentary filmmaker and journalist in New York City. A native of Taiwan, they hold an M.F.A. in TV Production from Brooklyn College and an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University. Tung’s films focus on social justice and human rights issues. They have been featured in more than 40 film festivals around the world. The film shorts will be followed by a panel discussion with community members.The Rainbow Center is a proudly queer, anti-racist community center. We are committed to providing an inclusive environment that reflects the community we serve.
